What is the mould labeling process?

In-mould labeling is used to label the product moulds used in what we know as the injection moulding process. The IML process is a labeling process that uses an offset printing machine to print the labels onto the moulds.

This means that labels are permanently bonded to the container and this prevents the labels from peeling, yellowing, slipping and avoids reflective surfaces.

IML labeled containers are beneficial for the environment because the packaging and the label consist of the same material and can, therefore, be fully recycled. In-mould labels are washable, reusable, recyclable and very light in weight.
